Mindmaps and first ideas

First, we all made research about the prevention of human-made pollution and organized our results in a mind map about the following theme : Improve the prevention of pollution caused by human activities.

The idea of Enviscore came after we brought together our work to gather the most important issues :

We all agreed on the fact that human beings were able to have more control on their impact on pollution thanks to the purchases they made, more precisely which purchases they made.

Project definitions

The next step was to think about the characteristics of our application Enviscore.

We had to put on definitions to clarify our minds about the context and the identity of the app, but also the main targets and which service we would offer to them.

You can see the details of it here:

Wireframes

The wireframe part was then one of the most interesting: we had a lot of different ideas to design the app and our various visions became a strength to make the most comfortable user experience possible.

This work helped us on the definition of the identity of our project.

The wireframes, which typically work like a visual guide, let us develop our application with first drafts.

Here is what the final wireframe of our application looked like. As you will see later on, it evolved a lot more until the final mockup!

Mockups and tests

The step of mockups and tests represented the first time of our app being shown to other people not working with us. We used 2 different mockups to have a more conscious look on our path.

These mockups were prototypes that helped us design and evaluate the purpose and form of the project. They can be considered as unfinished models. As a consequence, we began the series of tests to ameliorate the user experience.

We asked a total of 5 users to give us feedback on our mockups thanks to questions we had prepared. These mockups will help you to understand how our project grew throughout the time and reflexion.

Here is the link of the tests we made.

Here is what our final mockup looks like :

Technologies involved

Enviscore uses API, you can find general information about API here.

Have a look how Yuka -an application working the same way as Enviscore- constituted its database here.

This website was designed in Lyon and is aimed at everyone that wants to make his purchases have a real, positive impact on the environment.
